Senior seperatist leader yasin malik arrested towards Lal Chowk (Red Square),where an independence rally had been planned on, but before he could cross the main road to lal chowk police arrested him the nerve centre of Kashmiri capital Srinagar which was barricaded by laying barbed wire and erecting tin sheet boundary wall to prevent seperatists from holding a rally there on August 25,2008.curfew is being strictly enforced on Srinagar and all other towns and cities of Kashmir valley where as top seperatist leaders have been arrested overnight. .
